General Conditions
Sales taxes will be collected on all shipments delivered in the state of Colorado, except when the product is for resale and International Power Products has a resale license certificate on file at the time of the purchase transaction. If your state, other than Colorado, requires sales taxes to be paid, you agree that it is your responsibility to pay those taxes.
You should read the manual and follow all usage and safety instructions. You, not us, are responsible for your use and maintenance of the equipment purchased. You must take proper precautions to prevent misuse, damage, or overloading of the item purchased.
General Disclaimer and Notice
We are not responsible for clerical errors on web pages or in email messages. Stenographic and clerical errors are subject to correction.
How to Order
You can order from our SECURE online store or you can call in your order and pay with any of the charge cards we honor or you may pay by check or US Postal Service Money Order. If you pay by check, we will wait until the check has cleared before we process the order.
Prices
Prices are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right to reject or cancel any purchase transaction at any time. If we cancel or reject your order, we will immediately notify you. We will refund any payment in the same manner it was paid.
Payment Terms and Security Procedures
If we are not sure about the transaction being real, we will require you to prove who you are and that you are authorized to use the credit card. We may require you to copy your credit card and drivers license and fax these documents to us before we ship. All transactions over $500 will be carefully reviewed to determine fraud potential. We only ship to the address on the credit card. If the delivery address is other than your credit card address, we MAY at our option, decline the credit card sale, or require you to notify your credit card company that this is an approved alternative address. We will verify this with your credit card company.
At our option, we may decline to honor any credit card transaction which has characteristics that appear on the "fraud practices list.”
We will initiate criminal prosecution procedures against anyone who engages in credit card fraud or attempts credit card fraud.
Order Cancellation
If the manufacturer will not allow cancellation, then the contract amount will be due in full for the item involved and that item will be shipped.
Orders that are cancelled on or after the date of order are subject to a cancellation charge of up to 50% of the order total. This charge will be due when the factory consents to the cancellation. International Power Products may lower the cancellation fees in our sole discretion. However the minimum acceptable cancellation fee due us shall be the sum of all reasonable out of pocket expenses, delivery and return freight, storage charges, and disposal costs of ordered products including a reasonable profit thereon, plus lost profits on the orders cancelled.
If the manufacturer consents to cancellation or if International Power Products has not actually ordered the product, we MAY cancel your order upon your WRITTEN request. However, the manufacturer’s cancellation and/or restocking fees (if any) will be added to International Power Products's cancellation and/or restocking fees.
In the event that International Power Products or the manufacturer obtains possession of products you ordered, we shall have the right to sell the products and credit your account, taking into account charges owed in accordance with International Power Products policy. We may retain any remaining amounts owed to you until all disputes are resolved. Please see Returns, Restocking and Return Authorization.
Return Authorization Requirements
International Power Products requires a return authorization issued by us and freight prepaid by the customer on any return, or the shipment will be refused on the receiving dock, NO EXCEPTIONS! We will normally authorize a return authorization to be shipped back to the manufacturer, only when the manufacturer will accept a return. Returns which represent cancellations will be treated in accordance with our Order Cancellation Policy above. We do not accept returns on products that require repairs covered under warranty. See Warranty Repairs below.
International Power Products accepts returns only if we ship you the wrong product or if, in our opinion, the situation warrants it. A return authorization must be issued by us to you in order for us to accept a return shipment. All returned product must be in NEW (unused) condition with all original packing materials, parts, manuals, warranty cards, and other materials shipped with the unit.
International Power Products cannot accept the return of products that have been used since International Power Products cannot re-sell them. It is dangerous and illegal to ship engines that have been fueled. Shipping these goods by means other than truck may have serious consequences.
International Power Products may, at our discretion, buy back products from you but the price offered will be below our wholesale cost and probably less then half of what we sold it to you. If we buy the product back from you, we must clean, test, inspect, specially market, and reship it. We usually only buy back products that we can sell quickly.
All returns require a minimum restocking charge equivalent to twenty-five percent (25%) of your invoice or as required by the manufacturer, excluding freight. The manufacturer charges restocking fees to cover their handling costs and we do, too. The restocking fees charged to you will be at the discretion of International Power Products. We will credit you in the same way you paid us, minus the restocking fees and any freight costs. Freight costs can include freight we paid shipping the product from the factory to you or from our warehouse to you, and shipping the product back to the factory. We will not give credit for freight in any direction.
We will refuse all shipments sent COD freight or returned without a Return Authorization. If you return a product COD freight or without a Return Authorization and we or the manufacturer accepts it by mistake, we will use our own discretion on the best course of action for a refund, exchange or restock subject to cancellation charges.
Product which needs repair and is under the manufacturer’s warranty should be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty instructions. Each manufacturer has different instructions and requirements for warranty service. DO NOT RETURN PRODUCT TO US WHICH NEEDS WARRANTY REPAIR. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions which you receive with the product.
Freight and Freight Damage
At this time we do not ship outside the continental United States. International Power Products will deliver the product to the continental U.S. port of your choosing.
The method of shipping is International Power Products Choice. In most cases this will be to your benefit. International Power Products is a high volume shipper and our freight rate discounts reflect this. If your company has pricing with certain freight carriers you are free to use that company assuming the carrier of your choice provides service to the shipping point. You will pay the shipping charges directly to the carrier. We or the manufacturer will choose method of shipment if we are paying for freight. All shipments are subject to carrier restrictions for size and weight. You must sign for delivery.
Freight damage is the responsibility of the carrier.
We are not responsible for freight damage. Manufacturers will not pay for freight damage. They will not send free parts which are damaged by the freight carrier. The carrier is responsible for freight damage. You are responsible for filing freight claims. We cannot file a claim for you.
Inspect for damage when the product is delivered. Inspect the inside contents. Write on the freight bill the damage that you see. Sign the freight bill. Make a copy for yourself. Report all discovered damage to the carrier immediately.
Please notify us so that we will know which carriers are damaging freight.
Manufacturer’s Warranty and Repairs
If you believe that your product is defective, you are welcome to contact the manufacturer's customer service departments. They have expert technicians standing by to help solve your issue. Please have your model number and serial number available for fastest service. In most cases, the issue is a simple remedy that can be resolved over the phone instead of coordinating a return.
All new equipment is sold with a manufacturer’s warranty as shown on documents supplied by the manufacturer with the equipment or as stated on the warranty page of this web site. The warranty that is the most restrictive shall control regardless of the method of delivery of warranty information to you.
We do not have the authority to amend, add to, or delete any warranty provisions.
Warranty repairs are made according to the warranty repair policy for each manufacturer. Products that are defective or that require repairs cannot be returned to International Power Products for service.
Safety
If the customer connects a generator to house or commercial power, a transfer switch must be installed by a qualified electrician so that all applicable electric codes and laws will be observed.
We are not responsible for any damages to equipment we sell you or to your property damaged by installation, use, or presence of the equipment sold, whether directly, indirectly, or consequentially.

In the event of a dispute between you and us for any reason, arising out of any agreement, written or verbal, the dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with International Power Products policies. If either party fails to participate in arbitration, then the other party may initiate court action.
